SOLSC 4/31 Book log

Ah, the art of procrastination. The ability to put off a week long assignment until two hours before it is do. For literary arts every person reads a book a week and blogs about it, (in other words this is my slice for today).

This week, I read the Shadow Throne by Jennifer A Nielsen. It is the third and final book in the Ascendant Trilogy. The first book is the False Prince, the story of an orphaned thief, who is forced to become a pawn in ever present chessboard of politics and impersonate a long lost/dead prince after the real royal family is secretly murdered. All three books take place in the mythical world Carthia and describe a closely woven timeline. I really like the pace of this book and how there was always action; but, my absolute favorite part of the entire series was the politics and the secretes. The plot was always twisting, completely unpredictable and free moving, it was entertaining as wells as a fast read. I would recommend this series to anyone who likes tactics, politics and adventure.
