SOLSC 21/31

Ten more slices left!

The sun is setting, or has it already? I can no longer view the bright circular orb that has been over head for the last 12 hours, but the sky is still painted with colors and the light still illuminates most of the east. Despite the darkening sky, which is slowly fading into a deep violet, the world is still alive. At this time most are usually finishing up dinner, or settling down to the typical brain washing brought on by television. Some, like me are probably trying to finish up a homework assignment that they belatedly forgot about until the last minute. Most of the animals though, are quiet, they've already started to fade from a long work filled day. The birds that created an orchestra of sound this morning are now silent, gone from the sky and trees. Bats take flight, silhouetted by the purple sky. The day is over, but the night has just begun.
