SOLSC 18/31 The Maze Runner

This week I read the Maze Runner by James Dashner, which, although part of a dystopian trilogy is nothing like the Hunger Games or Divergent. Having had this book recommended to me on many occasions, I found it enjoyable, fast moving and original. Thomas, the main character, can remember nothing but his name, and after a terrifying journey on the 'lift', finds himself in the center of a giant maze. Soon Thomas finds himself in a terrifying battle for survival, not only for himself, but all of the other human inhabitants in the maze as well. And the only chance for survival is to escape the maze. This book was fast paced and exiting, the characters were relatable and likable. I would recommend it to anyone interested in the Hunger Games with the recommendation that it be a one week book.
