SOLSC 20/31 Today

Light shines through the open window, illuminating the objects in the messy room. Surprisingly enough, the afternoon light is still crisp from the morning, very unlike the warmer light we are used to. Every shadow is defined, stunning against the tanned paint and bricks. The shadows of the trees are the best, the taller the tree, the better the shadow. My neighborhood filled with tall trees, that stretch up into the air, branches straining for every inch of sunlight possible. Already, the sun is far enough down in the sky that the shadows are longer than the tree itself. They overlap with other trees until there is a forest of dark branches on the ground, a forest of shadows that grows, constantly changing shape as the sun dips lower in the sky. They stay there, slowly moving and changing throughout the entire day until the sun finally recedes behind the distant mountains.
